陈同丽 (Karen Wei)，中美图书馆员合作交流项目的协同负责人。现任伊利诺伊大学香槟校区亚洲图书馆馆长，图书馆管理教授, 负责东亚，东南亚，南亚，及中东地区的馆藏及服务。1999 至 2008 年间兼任区域研究部门主任，负责非洲，亚洲，拉丁美洲，斯拉夫及东欧等图书馆的协调工作。长期从事图书馆管理工作，有丰富的实际工作及管理经验。她是美国图书馆学会，亚洲研究学会，东亚图书馆协会，华人图书馆协会，及OCLC中日韩用户群的会员。曾任东亚图书馆协会中文组的主席 (2002-2005)及 OCLC CJK Users Group的主席 (2007-2009)。她是美国华人图书馆员协会的终身会员。长期专注相关中国图书馆，图书信息服务，及中国妇女为课题的研究。出版了《中国妇女研究注释目录》及《中国图书馆及信息科学研究注释目录》，并合作编辑了《架起中美文化的橋梁—華人圖書館員協會回眸三十年，1973-2003》 等书及发表论文多篇。此外，并长期的为美国图书馆界重要的选书工具 《美国参考书年刊》及《选择》撰写书评。
Karen Wei, Project Co-PI, is the Head of the Asian Library and Professor of Library Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, responsible for library collections and services for East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. Between 1999 and 2008, she also served as the Area Studies Division Coordinator, responsible for coordinating work in Africana, Asian, Latin American and Caribbean studies, and Slavic and East European studies libraries. She is a member of the American Library Association, Association for Asian Studies, Council on East Asian Libraries (chaired the CEAL Committee on Chinese Materials, 2002-2005), OCLC CJK Users Group (chaired the Group, 2007-2009), and a life member of the Chinese American Librarians Association. Her research interest includes Chinese libraries, Chinese American librarianship, library and information services, and Chinese women studies. She has published Women in China: A Selected and Annotated Bibliography, Library and Information Science in China: An Annotated, and co-edited Bridging Cultures—Chinese American Librarians and Their Organization: A Glance Back at the Thirty Years of CALA, 1973-2003. Other publications include book chapters, journal articles and proceedings, and numerous book reviews in American Reference Books Annual and Choice, two important book selection tools in the US. |
